The scenic beauty of Tennessee and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. This stretch of White's Creek is 6.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III+ section. The starting point is not too far from Crossville, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Tennessee tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. There aren’t
any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature
are great attractions for lots of people. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. Whitewater paddling here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is a great experience. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Rt 68 to Possum Trot/Alloway Bridge section is one of them.

20's overnight here at White's Creek. So many entertaining things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, not enough time. Not far from White's Creek you find Hank Point. Ray Falls is always fun to check out, and if you're here, you might as well visit Lick Hollow.
