This stretch of White's Creek in Tennessee is 6.5 miles long and it is classified as a class III+ section by American Whitewater. If you're coming from Crossville it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Tennessee you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled
as well. The wonderful Tennessee scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The river winds through the Cumberland Plateau Mountains and you get great scenery. Getting your paddling
muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
Briefly about the general area: Ray Falls is a delightful location to stop by while you're at White's Creek,
and Lick Hollow is also a good site to discover. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has to offer. While you're here at White's Creek you have to check out Hank Point. White's Creek commonly gets much rain; March is the
month that gets the most rain; October is when it's the driest. High temperatures at White's Creek throughout the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at White's Creek drop into the 20's.
