The Woodcock Gulf to Daus section of Woodcock Creek is 6 miles long and is a class IV-V+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This is the only paddling stretch along Woodcock Creek. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. There's camping available near Woodcock Creek. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to     drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beauty of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is a great plus for this river. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. If you're coming from Chattanooga it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down.
