  The Casa Piedra to FM 170 section of Alamito Creek is 23 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV section. The scenic beauty of Texas and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay
    the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. Since
