The SH 71 to Lost Creek stretch of Barton Creek in Travis County is 12 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. Briefly about the general area: Hebbingston Hollow is close to Barton Creek and is a great place, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Pecan Grove Trail. Throughout the summer months here at Barton Creek, high temperatures   typically get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and overnight lows at Barton Creek all through the wintertime regularly plunge into the 30's. The Waterfall Trail is a wonderful hiking trail near Barton Creek, and a journey to Canyon Spring will fill your soul with brilliant feelings.
