And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is the only paddling section along Bear Creek. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You might be into whitewater rafting     or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The beautiful scenery of Williamson County and the cool fresh water beats anything. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Briefly about the general area: Bear Creek is a good location of normal precipitation; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. At Bear Creek throughout the summer highs are in the 90's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's.
