  The Spring Branch Road to US 87 section of Beaver Creek is 11 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III section. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so better not forget that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. The natural beauty of Mason County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. There's camping
    available near Beaver Creek. The starting location is a short drive from Kerrville, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so go ahead and
pack your camping stuff. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll  
find lots of paddling rivers.

Briefly about the general area:
Beaver Creek is right by the Loop Trail. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Beaver Creek. May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is December. For the duration of the months of summer at Beaver Creek temperatures are generally in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Beaver Creek.
