Kayakers beware!!!!  This past spring the water on the bee house full of water moccasins.  I don't know how anybody gets into that water. It was horrible. Says River Rat

Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Texas are easier than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. The beautiful scenery of Coryell County and the water flowing gracefully down Bee
    House Creek are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. On this
section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Slater Road to Pidcoke section is one of them. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other spots for that. This section of Bee House Creek in Texas is 9 miles  
long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.

Briefly about the general area:
This is a popular spot for folks from Purmela. Bee House Creek gets a common amount of precipitation. The month with most of the rain is May, and December is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Bee House Creek. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 70's. Highs throughout the wintertime are regularly in the 50's with temperatures at Bee House Creek dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights.
