A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. This is a very short section so better bring some good walking shoes. The average Texas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so if you're     visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. No need to look hard for hotels, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beautiful scenery of Texas and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. Briefly about the general area: During the months of summer at Colorado River highs are regularly in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 70's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Colorado River are in the 30's. From a rainfall point of view Colorado River is a reasonably normal location; of all the months in   a year May is the one with the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At this river you will never have a bad time. If the weather is good here at Colorado River, you can go for a hike along the Boggy Creek Greenbelt Trail, and Oak Spring is an inspiring place to explore while here. Going for a hike along the Roy Guerrero Colorado River Park Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Colorado River is a place with many visitors from Austin-Round Rock.
