This stretch of Comal River is 1 miles long and is a class I-II(III) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you're coming from San Antonio it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. There are many good hotels to choose from, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The natural beauty of Comal County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. This stretch is very short so no need to bring snacks. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. There are no other sections to paddle along Comal River
than the New Braunfels section. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy.
