This stretch of Frio River in Texas is 12 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Texas are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. The nearby     hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The starting point is not too far from Uvalde, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. There are no other stretches to paddle along Frio River than the Garner State Park to Concan stretch. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. Briefly about the general area: For the period of the warm months here at Frio River, high temperatures commonly get into the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Frio River during the wintertime ordinarily sink into   the 20's. If you're addicted to cool geologic marks, try Seven Bluff, and going for a hike along the Garner State Park Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Frio River is a good place of common rainfall; October is the wettest month with most rain, and December meanwhile is the driest month.
