This stretch of Guadalupe River in Texas is 9.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Kerrville, as you can see on the road map further down. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have     to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other places. The average Texas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well.
