If you're coming from San Antonio it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. The wonderful Kendall County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll     find a large number of good places. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so it looks like you will be camping out. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Comfort to Farm Road 3351 stretch is just one of many. Briefly about the general area: This is a popular location for   folks from Waring, and hiking along the Cibolo Nature Center Trail is great fun. At Guadalupe River during the summer highs are in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's.
