forget that rivers here are less demanding. The put-in is not too far from San Antonio, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your sleeping bag. There are some
good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Farm Road 3351 to Rebecca Creek Crossing stretch is one of them. The beautiful scenery of Texas and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. A
good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people.

Summertime highs at Guadalupe River mostly tend to be in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Guadalupe River.
