Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. This stretch of Guadalupe River is 25 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to
American Whitewater. The put-in is not too far from San Antonio, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so pack your camping stuff. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't
matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Farm Road 3351 to Rebecca Creek Crossing section is one of them. down it falls down to the 60's. During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Guadalupe River. The amount of rain that falls at Guadalupe River is close to the national average; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while December is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
