Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Texas is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Farm Road 3351 to Rebecca Creek Crossing stretch is one of them. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The natural beauty of Comal County and the cool fresh   water beats anything. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camping stuff too. Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike on the Guadalupe River State Park Trail is always a wonderful adventure. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Guadalupe River; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; December on the other hand is the driest. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Guadalupe River get into the 90's with night lows in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Guadalupe River.
