  This stretch of Llano River in Texas is 17 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II(III) section of whitewater. If you're coming from Kerrville it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Texas is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Getting
    a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The scenic beauty of Mason Llano County and the water flowing gracefully down Llano River beats anything. For all you camping
people there are campgrounds nearby. There arenít any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.

There are plenty of folks from
Castell here at Llano River. Llano River gets a common amount of yearly rain. May is when you get the most rain here; December on the other hand is the driest. Through the months of summer at Llano River highs are mostly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Llano River temperatures dip to the 30's.
