  The starting point is not too far from Kerrville, as you can see on the road map further down. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. The FM 2169 to Kimble CR 320 section of Llano River - Johnson Fork in Kimble County is 3.5 miles long and is a class II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater.
    A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is
not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. There's camping available near Llano River - Johnson Fork. The natural beauty of Texas and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here.

of year, and you're sure to encounter some good folks from Junction here. If the weather is magnificent here at Llano River - Johnson Fork, you can go for a hike along the Walter Buck Wildlife Management Area Trail.
