The Medina to Bandera Falls stretch of Medina River is 27 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Texas tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these     hotels fill up quick. The Medina to Bandera Falls stretch is the only paddling stretch along Medina River. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. If you're coming from Kerrville it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost.
