The Bosque Cty Road 347 to SH 6 stretch of Meridian Creek is 8 miles long and is a class II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the     river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. Meridian Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Bosque Cty Road 347 to SH 6 stretch is the only one. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: Meridian Creek is a good site of normal precipitation; during May this area sees the most rain, and December is when it's the driest. Throughout the summer highs here at Meridian Creek get into the 90's.   Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 70's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Meridian Creek. The Meridian State Park Trail is a magnificent hiking trail in close proximity to Meridian Creek.
