Texas whitewater - Middle Bosque River, McLennan County McLennan county, Crawford to FM 3047 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II-III     7 miles   The natural beauty of McLennan County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The put-in is not too far from Waco, as you can see on the road map further down. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are no other stretches to paddle along Middle Bosque River than the Crawford to FM 3047 stretch. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so if you're     not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less demanding. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There's camping available near Middle Bosque River. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. This stretch of Middle Bosque River in Texas is 7 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other rivers.
