A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places. This section of North Grape Creek is 17.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III+ section. There are no other sections to paddle along     North Grape Creek than the FM 1631 to Pedernales River section. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so pack your camp stove. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: North Grape Creek gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; most of the rain falls during May, and January is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at North Grape Creek mostly tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's.
