Says Landowner This stretch of Nueces River in Edwards Real County is 10 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Texas are easier than the national norm, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from     far and near. There's camping available near Nueces River. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. The FM 335 to Barksdale section is the only paddling section along Nueces River. The nature scenery of Edwards Real County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. Briefly about the general area: Terry Hollow is a pleasant place to spend some time at. High temperatures at Nueces River during the warm months are in the 90's, and the night is slightly colder of course, usually in the 60's. For   the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's; overnight lows during the winter for Nueces River tend to be in the 30's. Nueces River is a location that is pretty dried up frequently; most of the rain falls throughout May, and the driest month is December.
