The Pedernales Falls SP to Hammett's Cross section of Pedernales River is 14 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Pedernales Falls SP to Hammett's Cross stretch is one of them. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive     a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so pack your camping stuff. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby.
