CLASS II 7.5 miles
Hi Land Owner, On the offhand chance you may be back to read this, Kayakers are some of the most respectful people in the world. Why would you want to send someone to jail for simply passing thru a navigable stream that runs thru your land? I don't get it. You know, if it's that much of an issue, you could charge people entry or just insist they check in with you first. Most people aren't looking for trouble. Says Paddler
This stretch and all others of rocky creek are private. If I see you on the creek you will at the very least go to jail
for trespassing. Says Land Owner
This stretch of Rocky Creek is 7.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. The starting location is a short drive from Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood, as you can see on the road map further down. The sections
for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Texas are often more forgiving than in other states, so don't forget that rivers here are less demanding. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. The wonderful Texas scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning
trip. This is the only paddling section along Rocky Creek. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come.
