San Marcos to Martindale section is the only paddling section along San Marcos River.
Briefly about the general area:
Hiking along the Prospect Park Trail is delightful fun. From a rain point of view San Marcos River is a quite common site; May is the wettest month with
most rain; January is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the days of summer here at San Marcos River, high temperatures commonly reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 70's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to San Marcos River.
