  This stretch of Sanderson Creek in Texas is 17 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The nature scenery of Terrell County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is
    long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your sleeping bag. The Mofet to Rio Grande stretch is the only paddling stretch along Sanderson Creek. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.

Summertime at Sanderson Creek comes with high temperatures in the 90's, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, frequently in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's with temperatures at Sanderson Creek dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Not much precipitation falls here at Sanderson Creek; most of the rain falls during September; January is when it's the driest.
