The W 34 St to W 12 St section of Shoal Creek is 2 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Briefly about the general area: You'll meet a lot of folks from Austin-Round Rock here, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Ridge Trail. A common amount of precipitation   falls here at Shoal Creek; through May this area sees the most rain, and December on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Shoal Creek typically tend to be in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 70's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's while Shoal Creek overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 30's. This river is a wonderful place to visit. Seiders Spring is a great local attraction, and going for a hike along the Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
