The South Main St to Pleasant Run Road section of Ten Mile Creek in Dallas County is 5 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but you'd better     reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. There are no other sections to paddle along Ten Mile Creek than the South Main St to Pleasant Run Road section. The wonderful Texas scenery and the playfulness of the water beats anything. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows   in the 20's for Ten Mile Creek.
