Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Texas are easier than the national norm, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are no other sections to paddle along White River than     the Crosbyton to White River Res section. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. The natural beauty of Texas and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so pack your sleeping bag. Briefly about the general area: During the warm days of summer at White River temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 50's while White River overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's. White River is pretty dried out mostly; the wettest month of the year is commonly June, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
