Take out point requires dragging boat up a steep incline. Also there are lots of man made obstacles to avoid, sever man hole covers protruding from the bottom. There are also 2 manmade water falls that will sneak up on you. There are many good hotels to choose from, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good spots for that around here. The beautiful scenery of Dallas County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. White Rock Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Belt Line Road to US 75 stretch is the only one. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.
