  The Sulphur Campground to Chalk Creek WY section of Bear River in Utah is 15 miles long and has been rated as a class I-IV section by American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Utah and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camping stuff too. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive
    a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The campgrounds here at Bear River are pretty good. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that a lot of the
rivers here are suitable for beginners.

Briefly about the general area:
Lots of rainfall falls at Bear River; most of the rain falls during September; May is when it's the driest. Through the summer months highs here at Bear River reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 80's, and night lows in the 70's for Bear River.
