The wonderful Morgan/ Salt Lake County scenery and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. The put-in is not too far from Salt Lake City, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There's camping available near Big Cottonwood Creek. Lodging is available near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Old Mill to 3900 South section is the only paddling section along Big Cottonwood Creek. The beauty of the Wasatch Range is a great plus for this river. Since you're

Whitewater to be a class I-IV section. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. The average Utah whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come.
