This section of Blacks Fork - West Fork in Summit County is 3.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Summit County and the water flowing gracefully down Blacks Fork - West Fork will make you feel great. The beauty of the Uinta Mountains is a great plus for this river. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling places. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Evanston, as you can see on the
road map further down. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.
If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.

warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Blacks Fork - West Fork. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Blacks Fork - West Fork are in the 0's. There is a magnificent
hiking trail in close proximity to Blacks Fork - West Fork called the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail; going for a hike on the High Line Trail is always a tremendous adventure. It is very dehydrated here at Blacks Fork - West Fork ordinarily; September is when you get the most rain here while January is generally the driest month. This place, the Uinta Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things.
