The beautiful scenery of Summit County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. This section of Blacks Fork - West Fork in Utah is 3.5 miles long and is a class I-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Utah tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere.
The river winds through the Uinta Mountains and you get great scenery. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.
The starting location is a short drive from Evanston, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other spots. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more.
