Grand
county,
Cisco to Moab section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS I-III 47 miles
This stretch of Colorado River is 47 miles long and is a class I-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful Grand County scenery and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often
easier than in other states, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Cisco to Moab section is one of them. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.
Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other places for that. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, perfect for a real wilderness adventure.
