The natural beauty of Grand County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. The Moab to Powell Reservoir stretch is the only paddling stretch along Colorado River. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so better bring your camping gear along. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. For     all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. Briefly about the general area: Near Colorado River you come across South Fork Horse Canyon which is a brilliant location to visit, and you need to pop by Chocolate Drops if you're here. This river has it all. While you're here at Colorado River you must stop by Brimhall Point, and the White Rim Trail offers hiking at its best. High temperatures at Colorado River throughout the summer are in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Colorado River dipping down into the 10's all through winter   nights. Colorado River is a location that is quite dehydrated mostly; all through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
