The nature scenery of Utah and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive     a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Briefly about the general area: Brimhall Point is nearby and always splendid to pop by, and don't leave Colorado River without first checking out Chocolate Drops. A river like this is too good to miss. Colorado River is usually a reasonably dried up location; through September this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Colorado River reach the 90's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and night lows in the 10's for Colorado River.
