CLASS I-II 25 miles
The Dry Hollow to Strawberry River section of Currant Creek is 25 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. When you're paddling down a Uinta Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The scenic beauty of Duchesne/ Wasatch County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. There are no other stretches to paddle along Currant Creek than the
Dry Hollow to Strawberry River stretch. The campgrounds here at Currant Creek are pretty good. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling places. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find
the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people.
