This stretch of East Canyon Creek in Utah is 16.5 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. The put-in is not too far from Salt Lake City, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The
average Utah whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. There's camping available near East Canyon Creek. Whether you're
whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The Jeremy Ranch to 66 Bridge section is the only paddling section along East Canyon Creek. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. The natural beauty of Morgan County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. The river winds through the Wasatch Range and you get great scenery. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came.
