Uintah county, Canyon of Lodore Colorado to US 40 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS II-IV     44 miles
Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Utah is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. The scenic beauty of Utah and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip,
so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The wild scenery of the Uinta Mountains is great. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good rivers for that around here.
This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Canyon of Lodore Colorado to US 40 section is just one of them. This stretch of Green River is 44 miles long and it is classified as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater.
