The Ouray to Green River Town section is the only paddling section along Green     River. Whitewater paddling here in the Book Cliffs is a great experience. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling places. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Briefly about the general area: On a great day at Green River you can take a hike along the Sunrise Dugway. Green River is a location that is reasonably arid usually; the month with most of the rain is September,   and January on the other hand is the driest.
