  Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Utah is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The Left Fork to Utah Experimental Farm stretch of Huntington Creek in Emery County is 12.5 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. This is the only paddling stretch along Huntington
    Creek. The nature scenery of Utah and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. If you're coming from Price it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds
nearby. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

At Huntington Creek you don’t see much rain; August is the month that gets the most rain; June is the month with the least moisture.
At Huntington Creek through the summertime months highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop
 
down into the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Huntington Creek temperatures fall to the-10's. Nearby McCadden Hollow is a fine place to go if you're at Huntington Creek, and close by you come across the Chris Otteson Trail which is a good hiking trail.
