Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Utah is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The scenic beauty of Uinta County and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. to be a class IV-V section. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whether you're whitewater rafting
or kayaking there are not so many other good places for that around here. Jones Hole Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the National Fish Hatchery to Green River confluence section is the only one. When you're paddling down a Uinta Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too.
