  The Moon Lake to Bridge to Yellowstone River stretch of Lake Fork is 8.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-IV section. The wonderful Utah scenery and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. The beauty of the Uinta Mountains is a great plus for this river. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general
    area you won't find many other paddling spots. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. The Moon Lake
to Bridge to Yellowstone River stretch is the only paddling stretch along Lake Fork. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Utah you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.

Briefly about the general area:
Lake Fork is pretty dry generally; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and March is the month with the least moisture. Throughout the summer at Lake Fork highs are
 
typically in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Lake Fork fall into the 0's.
A visit to Mackentire Draw is always fun; there are great places to explore along the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Uinta Mountains.
