The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Utah are often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This stretch of Little Cottonwood Creek is 7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-III section. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good     for a one day paddling trip. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. Little Cottonwood Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Creek Road to I-15 section is the only one. No need to look hard for hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The starting point is not too far from Salt Lake City, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost.
