If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Utah you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. The beautiful scenery of Utah and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. This section of Ogden River in Utah is 5 miles long and it is classified as a class II-V section by American     Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whitewater paddling here in the Wasatch Range is a great experience. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other spots for that. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. Briefly about the general area: A journey to Sardine Canyon is always fun; tremendous hiking is available along the Skyline Trail. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Ogden River get into the 90's,   and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Ogden River dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the Wasatch Range has to offer. Skiing at Snowbasin is one of those things you just must do. Ogden River gets very little rain; April is when you get the most rain here; July meanwhile is the driest month.
