The put-in is not too far from Price, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of     other rivers. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The natural beauty of Carbon County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. Briefly about the general area: It is very dried up here at Price River commonly; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most while June is usually the driest month. For the period of the long summer days, highs mostly are in the 70's at Price River. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's.
