The put-in is not too far from Price, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This section of Price River is 15 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Scofield Reservoir to picnic area above Price Canyon section is one of them. And     of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camping stuff. The nature scenery of Utah and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: All through the summer, highs usually are in the 70's at Price River. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Price River tend to be in the-10's.
