The starting location is a short drive from Price, as you can see on the road map further down. The beautiful scenery of Utah / Carbon County and the water flowing gracefully down Price River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The campgrounds here at Price River are pretty good. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in     Utah is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. Price River is pretty arid usually; August is the wettest month with most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.   For the period of the long summer days here at Price River, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's while night lows are generally in the 40's.
