Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Picnic area above Price Canyon to Castle Gate stretch is one of them. This stretch     is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other spots for that. This section of Price River in Utah / Carbon County is 8.5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-V section by American Whitewater. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Utah you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. Briefly about the general area: Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Price River, and the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, regularly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Price River descend into   the-10's. You might want to pay a visit to Crandall Canyon while you're here at Price River. Price River is regularly a relatively dehydrated site; August is the wettest month with most rain, and June is when it's the driest.
