The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The wonderful Utah / Carbon County scenery and the playfulness of the water beats anything. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better     reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. The Picnic area above Price Canyon to Castle Gate section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The campgrounds here at Price River are pretty good.
