You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This section of Price River in Emery County is 16 miles long and it is classified as a class III-V section by American Whitewater. The average     Utah whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. The Woodside to confluence with Green River section is the only paddling section along Price River. The beautiful Book Cliffs scenery is an added bonus. Not much precipitation falls here at Price River; most of the rain falls all through September, and January on the other hand is the driest. The warmest time of the   year at Price River arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Price River.
