CLASS I-IV 25 miles
Yeah...this river especially the lower part...really rocks. Says Brad
The Soapstone to Deer Creek Reservoir stretch of Provo River in Utah is 25 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-IV section of whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. The Soapstone to Deer Creek Reservoir section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. There are nice comfortable hotels
here, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. The wonderful Utah County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Provo River
are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. When you're paddling down a Wasatch Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.

is the month with the least moisture. All through the summer months highs here at Provo River reach the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and night lows at Provo River during the wintertime mostly drop into the 10's.
The Heathen Monsters: Great ride from above Woodland to the 1000 E. bridge (which is a good scare during high water, 1500 cfs). After the bridge the log jams, second diversion dam and constant river splits can be fun in the right craft (13 ft raft, not recommended). Great rush!
