It is important to note that a good part of the year the Fuller Bottom to San Rafael campground stretch does not have enough water flow to paddle. Check the flow before you make plans. Says J B
The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Utah are often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. is 20 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area
| you won't find many other paddling places. The nature scenery of Utah and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Fuller Bottom to San Rafael Campground section is one of them. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There's camping available near San Rafael River.
