The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Utah are often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Price, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This section of San Rafael River
    is 20 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area
you won't find many other paddling places. The nature scenery of Utah and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Fuller Bottom to San Rafael Campground section is one of them. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There's camping available near San Rafael River.

Through the winter highs are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to San Rafael River.
