If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Utah you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. The natural beauty of Sevier County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. A good workout and     a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other places. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Sevier River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Upstream of Panguitch to Salina section is the only one. Briefly about the general area: All through the warmest time of the year at Sevier River highs are regularly in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and night lows in the 10's for Sevier River. Sevier River is a location that is relatively   dehydrated regularly; September is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A trip to Don Spring will fill your soul with great feelings, and hiking along the Smith Canyon Trail is tremendous fun.
