  If you're coming from Price it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The nature scenery of Duchesne County and the water flowing gracefully down Strawberry River make the trip here worthwhile. This stretch of Strawberry River in Duchesne County is 36 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-V section. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. You can pitch
    a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with not too many other spots for that. This is the only paddling stretch along Strawberry River. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if
you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less demanding. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here.

generally tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Strawberry River.
Strawberry River gets very little rainfall; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and March is when it's the driest.
