Uinta River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Uinta Valley Campground to Power Plant stretch is the only one. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. There's camping available near Uinta River. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. You might have to settle for a hotel     a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling spots. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. This stretch of Uinta River is 8.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. When you're paddling down a Uinta Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Briefly about the general area: All through the summertime highs here at Uinta River get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Uinta River temperatures   fall to the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uinta Mountains. Harmston Canyon is a perfect site to visit close by. Trail Spring is a tremendous local attraction, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Shale Dugway. It is very dry here at Uinta River commonly; during May this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
