CLASS I-III 8.5 miles
The Uinta Valley Campground to Power Plant stretch of Uinta River in Utah is 8.5 miles long and is a class I-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There are no other stretches to paddle along Uinta River than the Uinta Valley Campground to Power Plant stretch. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The wonderful Utah scenery and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels
nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard
as elsewhere. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other places. The Uinta Mountains scenery is wonderful. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip.
