The Uinta Valley Campground to Power Plant stretch of Uinta River is 8.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. The nature scenery of Utah and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Utah is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this
area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. There are no other stretches to paddle along Uinta River than the Uinta Valley Campground to Power Plant stretch. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Whitewater paddling here in the Uinta
Mountains is a great experience. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
